WZNG, AM 1400, formerly
WHAL, has been on the air serving over 20 counties since
1946.
This station is a 24-hour talk station except for Sunday morning gospel
programming. Besides on-the-hour national news, we offer
informative and entertaining talk shows whose hosts include
G. Gordon Liddy,
Chuck Harder and
Alan Nathan. We carry top-rated
doctor
programs such as “Duke and the Doctor” and
Dr.
Paula.
For our overnight listeners, we have the award-winning esoteric
program, X-Zone Radio Show, seven nights a week.
Our local programming includes 10 nights of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, county commissioner meetings, city council meetings and political events such as Meet the Candidates and Election Returns. All programming is subject to interruption by the National Weather Service for severe weather alerts or any local happening of immediate importance. We also carry sports programming including Tennessee Titans Football.
