Keith Cook came to WLIJ AM 1580, in 1997. He began as a part-time D.J. and quickly made himself indispensable. He soon began working full time. In addition to being the afternoon D.J., Keith sells advertising, hosts guest programs, does remote broadcasts and anything else that needs to be done. Be sure to join Keith and “Mr. Raisin” every weekday afternoon from 2:30 til 3:30 for Trivia and get your name “In the Box”. Keith is a past president of the local chapter of the American Heart Association, board member of the Vocational Training School and has served as ringmaster and now as senior ringmaster for the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Keith enjoys in his time off building outdoor furniture and other outdoor wood items, which is all tagged with “Monica Lynn” which is in memory of two very special people. He also enjoys hitting the links and playing golf. After 22 years as a widow, Keith recently remarried. He and his wife Freda, who is employed by the State of Tennessee reside in Shelbyville. They have 3 children and 4 grand children. Keith is very involved in the community.
